Gumma Doll Snowsuit

I have a great weakness.  I love all things Japanese.  It's crazy how much I spoil this kokeshi doll.  Every trip to the gumball machine means something for Gua.  Burnt matches are recycled to create pencils for Gua's pencil box...the list goes on and on.

Materials Red Heart Super Saver Solids White Size E/4 3.50 mm Hook Pompom of any color Scissors


Abbreviations MR: Magic Ring Sc: single crochet Ch: chain 2sc

Pattern

Magic ring or Ch 3, 6 sc in third chain from hook. Rnd 1: 2 sc in each stitch(12 sc). Rnd 2: 2 sc in each stitch(18 sc). Rnd 3: 2 sc in each stitch(24 sc). Rnd 4: Start Rnd 4 at right cheek of the doll. 1 sc in each stitch until you reach the face of the doll. Chain 15. Attach to start of rnd 4. (30sc) Rnd 5: 1 sc in each stitch including the 15 chains(45 sc). Rnd 6-16: 1 sc in each chain.  

Little Raspberry

Berry:

Chain 2, 5 sc in second chain from hook.
Rnd 1: 1 sc in each stitch(5).
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each stitch(10).
Rnd 3: 1 sc in each stitch(10).
Rnd 4: 1 sc in each stitch(10).
Fasten off.

Stem:

Using yarn B, attach to the last stitch of Round 4. The stem will count as Rnd 5.
Rnd 5: 1 sc in each stitch(10).
Rnd 6: skip one sc, sc in next stitch, skip on sc, repeat until end of the row.
Chain 6, attach with slip stitch to opposite side of the row.

Voila! You have a sweet raspberry.

I used MiraGoods Bon Bon yarn for the raspberry. Very appropriate.
